Community Life

Fall 2024

We are grateful and delighted to have the Rev. Marion Pruitt-Jefferson, a Lutheran pastor, leading two Eucharist services a month here at Grace through December. This is possible because the ELCA and the Episcopal Church have an Agreement of Full Communion, passed by our governing bodies in 1999. Our churches have done this in response to our Lord’s prayer that all may be one. Our growing unity enables our churches to engage more fully and more faithfully the mission of God in world.

While our church’s red doors have removed for desperately needed repairs by a local carpenter who specializes in restoration, the same warm welcome is to be found inside!

Nordic Fest Performances

Robert Wolf’s Driftless Dreams: A Play for Voices was performed at Grace on July 29 and 30, 2022, by The Bridge, a newly formed theater group.. The play reflects the culture and heritage of rural America, focusing on the Driftless region of the Midwest. Its subject matter ranges from farms and farming life to Mississippi Rover towns to the character of rural America. Freewill donations went to support the restoration of Grace’s stained glass windows.
